HEALTH GUARANTEE

Each of our puppies also comes with a two year Health Guarantee against the following proven, genetic diseases;

~Hip Dysplasia ~Elbow Dysplasia ~Mega-esophagus ~Hypothyroidism ~Wobbler’s Syndrome ~Addison’s Disease ~Cardiomyopathy ~Aortic Stenosis ~Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia ~Mitral Valve Dysplasia.

AKC Limited Registration: This puppy is being sold as a companion pet only and NOT to be used for breeding. It may compete in recognized AKC events such as obedience and agility. The buyer agrees to spay or neuter the puppy as soon as possible, and before either 10 months-old for females or 14 months-old for males. The buyer agrees to take all proper precautions to ensure that said puppy is not accidentally bred or used for breeding before being spayed / neutered.

The Buyer agrees to the following terms of sale to ensure that the puppy receives proper emotional, physical and nutritional care;

1. to feed said puppy a high quality, premium food that is no higher in protein content than 26%, and not to feed any supplements, calcium or vitamins unless supervised by a veterinarian.

2. that said puppy will be kept up-to-date on all medical check-ups, including vaccinations relevant to the puppy’s age, heartworm preventative and will be seen by a veterinarian at least once a year after reaching 1 year of age. The Buyer agrees to seek medical treatment as soon as needed or upon first detection of illness in said puppy

3. to raise and train said puppy to become a good canine citizen and an affectionate and obedient member of the household. Towards this end, the Buyer agrees to bring said puppy into social situations where it will be introduced to new sounds, smells, people, and animals at least once a week until they are 6 months old. Examples include parks, children’s sporting events, friend’s houses, and pet stores. Obedience training is highly recommended by the Seller

4. that said puppy will be a house dog, principally spending its time inside the home, excluding exercise or bathroom breaks. The Buyer agrees to not persistently restrain said puppy with a chain/cable/rope of any kind, either in the yard or indoors.

5. to provide a safe and suitable area for said puppy in the event it must be left unattended. The Buyer understands that The Seller recommends Crate Training.

6. not to sell, trade or give away said puppy without previous written consent of the Seller, nor to list said puppy for same. If at any time and for any reason the Buyer cannot keep said puppy, The Buyer agrees to contact the Seller immediately. At the Seller’s discretion said puppy may be returned to the Seller, along with its AKC papers (no money will be reimbursed), or the Seller will assist in finding a new home for said puppy. The Seller reserves the right of first refusal and the right to interview the prospective adoptive home before said puppy is placed. The buyer agrees to pay the breeder $1,500 cash should said puppy be sold, traded or given away with out the Seller’s knowledge and written consent.

7. the Buyer agrees to relinquish ownership of said puppy back to the Seller if the Buyer fails to comply with any of the above-listed conditions. The Buyer understands that failure to comply with any of the above-listed conditions will render the Seller’s health guarantee (described below) null and void.

8. that if this contract is breached the Seller may enter the Buyer’s property with police escort to remove said puppy. The Buyer agrees that any and all costs and attorney fees associated with bringing and defending any litigation shall be born wholly and exclusively by the Buyer; and any legal preceding concerning this contract will take place in the Seller’s home county of Oakland County, Michigan, unless otherwise directed by the Seller. Should this contract be violated the Buyer will pay the Seller $1,500 cash.

9. that said puppy is being sold in good health, having determined by visual inspection that said puppy is of good weight, free from physical defects and shows no signs of ill health or parasites. The buyer agrees to take said puppy to a veterinarian within 5 business days of purchase for a general health check up and a stool sample to make sure said puppy has no internal parasites.
