In The Ruff Great Danes

Auburn Hills Michigan

About

I do not have pets; I consider all of my animals my children. All of my Danes are raised in my home from day one and are never left out side unattended. I also work part time for William Beaumont Hospital of Troy, Mi. Someone has to put food on the table!

I breed for health and temperament first. American Kennel Club standards (including coat patterns) come second. How can the perfect Dane be so different from country to country? You can show a blue harlequin in Britain, in Germany you can show blacks with white all the way up to the pastern and Mantle colors are not show-able in Britain or Germany.

I will not judge the quality of a puppy’s life, or the quality of life it will bring
to your family, by it’s coat color!
As long as my puppies are of sound health,
and are great additions to great families I will consider myself fulfilled.

“We’ve allowed some breeds to become too heavy, some too short faced, some too heavy coated, some too short legged, others too short lived; all in the pursuit of cosmetic points, not sound anatomical points.” ~David Hancock, Dog historian: Pedigree Dogs Exposed (2008 PBS Documentary)

“It’s moraly and ethicly absolutly wrong to cull (euthanize) perfectly healthy animals simply becasue of the way they look” ~Mark Evans, Chief Vet RSPCA: Pedigree Dogs Exposed (2008 PBS Documentary)
